    PSTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

    Before you apply, you must check if you are eligible. The eligibility is different for Primary and Upper Primary teachers.

    Paper I (Primary Teacher: Classes I to V)

    • Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks + Passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year D.El.Ed.
    • OR: Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed.
    • OR: 4-year B.El.Ed or Diploma in Special Education.

    Paper II (Upper Primary Teacher: Classes VI to VIII)

    • Graduation + Passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year D.El.Ed.
    • OR: Graduation (50% marks) + 1-year B.Ed.
