The Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB), Punjab, has released an important update for candidates involved in the Senior Assistant-cum-Inspector recruitment (Advertisement No. 06 of 2023).

This notification specifically concerns those candidates who appeared for the counseling sessions held earlier this month but found their eligibility status marked as “Withheld.”

What Went Wrong During Counseling?

The Board recently conducted document verification (counseling) on December 9, 10, and 15, 2025. During this process, officials noted that several candidates did not have the correct documentation, or their eligibility could not be immediately confirmed at the venue.

As a result, following a Board Resolution on December 28, the status of these specific candidates was kept as “Withheld” pending further review.

Opportunity for Reconsideration

In a move to ensure fairness, the PSSSB is providing these candidates with an opportunity to rectify the issue. The notice informs affected candidates that they must submit the pending or corrected documents to the Board for reconsideration.

• Action Required: Submit the specific proofs or certificates that were missing or disputed during the initial counseling.

Final Decision Pending

Candidates should note that submitting the documents does not automatically guarantee clearance. The Board has clarified that the final decision regarding eligibility will be taken only after a thorough verification of the newly submitted records.

Candidates are advised to act quickly and ensure their files are complete to avoid disqualification.
