According to the official notice released on February 3, 2026, the SCERT has decided that Class 5 exams will be conducted in the respective schools where students are enrolled. This “Self-Center” policy ensures young students do not have to travel to distant locations.

Evaluation & Monitoring:

  • Question Papers: To be supplied centrally by SCERT Punjab.
  • Checking: Answer sheets will be evaluated at the school level under strict supervision.
  • Timings: Evaluation will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with marks uploaded to the portal by 3:20 PM on the same day.

No Detention Policy Clarified

The notice reinforces that the primary aim of the exam is to assess learning outcomes.

  • Qualifying Marks: 33% is the criteria.
  • Fail Policy: Students failing to secure qualifying marks will not be detained in Class 5 but will be covered under remedial support.

Strict Instructions for Schools

  • Marks Upload: Schools must upload the final results on the online portal by March 31, 2026.
