Exam at Own School: Big Relief for Students
According to the official notice released on February 3, 2026, the SCERT has decided that Class 5 exams will be conducted in the respective schools where students are enrolled. This “Self-Center” policy ensures young students do not have to travel to distant locations.
Evaluation & Monitoring:
- Question Papers: To be supplied centrally by SCERT Punjab.
- Checking: Answer sheets will be evaluated at the school level under strict supervision.
- Timings: Evaluation will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with marks uploaded to the portal by 3:20 PM on the same day.
No Detention Policy Clarified
The notice reinforces that the primary aim of the exam is to assess learning outcomes.
- Qualifying Marks: 33% is the criteria.
- Fail Policy: Students failing to secure qualifying marks will not be detained in Class 5 but will be covered under remedial support.
Strict Instructions for Schools
- Marks Upload: Schools must upload the final results on the online portal by March 31, 2026.
